About Our Founder

                                                                                                                                                                                                        Peter Clark, the founder and owner, has more than 25 years experience in tutoring Basic Math, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry and Calculus.  He has earned a BS degree from Georgia Tech, and attended graduate school at Georgia State University.  He has been employed as an Information Technology Consultant for 15 years.

ATL Math Coach meets this need, with custom-tailored plans for each student.  Only one-on-one tutoring is available.  This gives the student the complete and undivided attention of the tutor.

Hiring A Tutor

Choosing a tutor should never be taken lightly.  Interview with several tutors/businesses before making a final decision, and consider all of these factors:

• Letters of Recommendation - Can you ask for and receive any references?
• Tutorial Plan - Can the tutor provide a sample plan for training?
• Demonstration - Ask the tutor to practice explaining a concept to you or your child.
• Fees - What is the fee structure? When is payment expected? Will you need to sign a contract? Is the price negotiable?
• Criminal Background Check - ALWAYS request a background check.
• Liability Insurance - Does the tutor have professional liability insurance?
• Professional Affiliations - What professional affiliations does the tutor have?
• Comfort Level of the Student - Allow the student to meet and interact with the tutor. Do you have a good feeling about the interaction?
